Pros:Nothing. It was a terrible experience.Cons:The pickup was 12 noon on a Saturday and it closed at 12 noon and no one was there. The next day it opened was Monday. I tried calling the local phone numbers and they couldn't talk until Monday. I then tried to call the national support Hertz number and had to wait for about 40 mins on hold (probably because they are bankrupt and have no support staff) and then the guy tried to get me a car from another location but then disconnected. I then called back and waited on the phone for about 30 mins and then got the same guy on the phone (he may be the only guy working) and just cancelled the reservation. AWFUL!Reviewed Apr 19 2021

Cons:When I booked through Kayak the search engine not only changed the dates but also the pick up location. Unfortunately I did not notice this until after payment was made and I showed up to pick up the car. It has been a nightmare since. The Hertz employees I encountered through out this fiasco were rude and unhelpful. I will never use Kayak to book anything ever again.Reviewed Mar 28 2021

A disaster from the beginning...Pros:The car itself was nice and clean. Drop off was quick and easy.Cons:It took nearly 1.5 hours standing in line to get my rental - almost as long as it took to fly to FL! Then they said something was wrong with my rental agreement and they had me listed as returning the car to another airport! After that was corrected (for pickup/return to same location), they said the rate was wrong. After getting a manager to sort it out, they said something about an extra $50 due to the change, but the manager waived that. Drop off on return was easy and quick. When I returned home, I found a $700 charge on my credit card from Hertz IN ADDITION TO the original rental amount! They told me since I hadn't used the full 24 hours rental on return, they reverted it to an hourly rental for the final day at $38/hour!! After 2 hours on the phone with representatives, trying to get a clear explanation of this billing, it was finally reduced to $70. I will NEVER rent Hertz again. They blamed Kayak for they way reservations are made, my point to them was I paid for x number of days, returned the car earlier than anticipated, and should not be penalized, regardless of how the reservation was made. I unfortunatley left the original paperwork (rental agreement) in the car upon return, or I would have fought them even more over the $70.Reviewed Dec 30 2018
