Don't Stay Here! The property looks nice from the outside and the lakefront rooms have a beautiful view. However, the 2-night stay was most unpleasant. When we arrived @ 17:45, there was no one at reception. They had left earlier for the day. After 3 tries, we were able to open the lockbox with the code sent that afternoon to my WhatsApp. Another guest was not so lucky, as his key was not in the lockbox, and he had to wait for "another guest" to bring him a key. While our room had a beautiful view of the lake, it was tiny. The bathroom was as well, with a retractable glass enclosure for the shower. The requested and confirmed extra towels and pillows were not in the room. The towels were chintzy. When I looked inside the wardrobe for the extra items requested, both knobs came off in my hands. The beds were comfortable. Parking costs €20 per night at the roadside parking spaces around the hotel. A parking slip is left in your room to put on your dashboard. We had breakfast the next morning and my wife felt the offering including the quality of the coffee was mediocre. I attempted to talk to the reception clerk after breakfast about the towels and pillows. First, he said they were requested too late. When he opened the messaging, he realized that was not the case, and claimed he did not go back over messaging. Bills are normally paid the day before departure. He only gave me a credit card receipt with no itemized invoice. When I asked for it, it was apparent that he charged me €8 for the chintzy towels for the one night, as extra pillows were not available at all. I was upset by the lack of disclosure of the fee. He then became extremely rude, and only refunded €6 of the €8. He claimed the €2 difference was a nonrefundable bank charge! One can certainly find other places to stay where they treat guests better and don't rip you off at every turn.
