When Hertz didn’t have a car available, I settled for Thrifty. I booked the night before, which is never an issue, and upon arrival I was told that there were no cars available. They pulled up my reservation in their system, confirmed that everything was correct (date, times, etc ), and preceded to tell me that I was SOL and to check with their competitors across the street. Lastly, they then stated that I was 20mins late anyways. Hertz would never allow this. Thrifty Peru is terrible and I’m never trying them anywhere else around the world.Reviewed Jun 17 2024

I was promised a larger SUV and instead when I arrived since I wasn’t returning the vehicle to MSP (essentially ‘driving away’) I was informed that it was a very slim selection of vehicles that were eligible for rent. Hence I was given a Chevy Trax 😐Reviewed Jun 17 2024

Customer service was great! The only problems were the price doubling form the first quote, and now a $78 toll charge. I did go through some tolls, but certainly not $78 worth. Ended up being WAY more expensive than I planned.Reviewed Jun 16 2024

Horrible after my reservation was confirmed I arrived for the pick up of the vehicle and was told at that moment that they had over rented the vehicle I had gone to pickup. Then they told me they didn’t have any more vehicles and that they were sorry for the inconvenience. Paid $45 for a Lyft and spent 40 min getting there to come out with no vehicle.Reviewed Jun 12 2024

We could not arrive on time before the agency closing hour. We tried to call the customer service to let them know and that we would come the next Day to pick up the car. The telephone number was not attributed so no chance to get anyone on the Phone. The next Day we showed up to the agency only to find out the car was no longer avalaible and our booking non refundable. Terrible terrible customer experience... No chairs in the rental office. You have to stand up while waiting for the only employee to get to you (and it could be a long wait). No modern credit card machine so I had to be in contact with my credit card provider in order to authorize the deal. No way to buy CDW online (I got an email saying the order was confirmed, but was unable to find it using the thrifty website). I rented a car from the exact same location 2 years ago and had the exact same issues. It seems that nothing had changed since.
