Car wasn’t ready when I arrived.. it’s not even at the location I have to go to other locations to pick up the car because the driver called off so they don’t know what time the car will arrive so I drove there myself to pick up the full size van

I reserved one type of car and somehow in my reservation it was changed to a compact car. It was actually fine but I had purchased separate trip insurance for the kind of car I requested. That made me unsure of whether the insurance would cover the other car type. Fortunately I didn’t need to find out! The man who checked my car in was very funny and nice. Wish I had gotten his name - he found my phone which I left in the car and tracked me down!!!

The car had a strong vibration throughout the drive tha.There was clearly a lack of cleaning.. there is a sticky substance around the gearshift. I use the supplied cleaning, wipe wipe to clean .

Pickup and dropoff were a breeze

Cons:

Car was filthy, but I rented at the last minute so maybe there was no time to clean? Windows had paint pen on them, windshield had tape on it like it had just been replaced, interior hadn't been cleaned and there might have been mustard on the steering wheel!

Plenty of room in the car, easy pick up

Cons:

No after hours returns but no one told me when I picked it up. I had to clean the interior myself, lots of dust, food wrappers etc

Every person that I encountered was incredibly polite, efficient and competent . My flight arrived one hour before the Alamo/Enterprise desk opened. I would have loved the ability to pick up my car through a kiosk or something else to avoid a one hour wait for the desk to open.

Lady at the counter was asleep and had this attitude where she seems to not want to work and just want to get you out of there. Terrible service. We booked at Budget instead which was right next to National and had way better service.

Everything was fine. There was a bit of a wait to pickup the car & mixup on car itself compared to the rental agreement. But everyone handled it fast, smooth, & positively. Drop off was smooth. No issues at all. The only inquiry or recommendation is to enhance the Dollar rental experience to be more like renting for Hertz, but there might be reasons I am not considering. Anyway, all good. Electronic car rentals themselves need some help, but that's the car & EV charging station issue not the rental company. Thanks

The customer service isn't exceptional, but it's adequate. This is a respectable car company, one of the few remaining in an industry often marked by dishonesty. The staff were nice and helpful. The car was nice and clean. But we did experience over 40mins of delay before the car became available.

I bought insurance through Kayak. When I picked up the car the SixT agent said we have to put a €1500 hold on your card in case of damage. I never heard of that before. I took the car and after 5 days returned it in the same condition I received it. The SixT agent said all was good and I expected the €1500 hold to be reversed. It’s been more than 24 hours but the hold is still on. Be careful when renting from SixT.

While I had a reservation, I did not rent a cat from SIXT. They were inflexible in working with me to change my reservation (due to airline flight delays.) and ultimately charged my card even though I never arrived for picking up the car ( note I did Not have a Prepaid rate. My reservation was for a Pay on Pickup.)

We could not arrive on time before the agency closing hour. We tried to call the customer service to let them know and that we would come the next Day to pick up the car. The telephone number was not attributed so no chance to get anyone on the Phone. The next Day we showed up to the agency only to find out the car was no longer avalaible and our booking non refundable. Terrible terrible customer experience... We had to book another car and lost around 110 CHF over this crazy stupid process.

No chairs in the rental office. You have to stand up while waiting for the only employee to get to you (and it could be a long wait). No modern credit card machine so I had to be in contact with my credit card provider in order to authorize the deal. No way to buy CDW online (I got an email saying the order was confirmed, but was unable to find it using the thrifty website). I rented a car from the exact same location 2 years ago and had the exact same issues. It seems that nothing had changed since. The car itself was excellent, but the headache around the order was a letdown.

Despite having a reservation to rent a car for a single day in Puebla, when we showed up we were told there was no car available. Then the man at the front desk said there was a car available but it would be more expensive due to local tax. We were okay with this, but he then said we needed to put down a deposit of $5000 usd, which seemed crazy for just one day. He then changed the deposit amount to $88 usd. The entire interaction felt like he was just making up numbers. It felt very sketchy so we decided to forget renting a car entirely and just traveled via bus…..
