Pros. Horrible odor in room. Very dirty.
Cons. Everything don’t go here. Staff refused to cooperate.
Pros. Although they are going through a renovation, they were abundantly accommodating and tried to help in any way possible, including a separate breakfast room. It has a cheap rate because it's under construction, so please know that going in. HOWEVER, great location, and we have been staying here for almost a decade throughout our trips to Bham (across the street from a huge eating area, including Edgar's bakery which is the best in the area).

Pros. Fantastic fantastic fantastic location! Right off a major interstate, and not far from intersecting highways. Close to many restaurants and a major mall. Beautiful area if you wanna go for a jog. Felt safe there. Decent breakfast... probably used powdered eggs, but they weren't half bad and there were several baked goods, cereals, fruit and drink options (including my favorite: waffles!). The sausage they served was delicious too, and not your usual complimentary hotel breakfast sausage. Gym was minimal but in great condition and adequate for a quick workout. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and adequately stocked. Quiet at night.
Cons. Only downside was that the TV was glitchy... great reception, the sound just gives out and comes back every once in a while. Not huge, since we just watched a little something before falling asleep; but was annoying and could be better. Upon checking out, we notified staff and they said that they would address it. Really not bad for our only "con"

Cons. The breakfast was lacking...expecting better options such as fresh fruit. The syrup plate had ants...then after breakfast our key randomly didn't work..very inconvenient to have to go back and have the key re-keyed...though staff was pleasant and fixed the issue.
