Payless has great customer service for the situation we were out in. The insurance prices are crazy but at the end of the day it wasn’t Payless fault. This is a country requirement that we did understand prior to booking. The pick up was easy and Luis was great!! Drop off was simple as well and super friendly. Car was cleaned when we picked up and that was appreciated.

The check-in process took forever. It was a large line and at the beginning the attendance. Chatting among each other, Delaying the process. Finally, a young man came in. And checked in as many people as the previous to attendance did together. I’ve been to this car rental before, and it brought a memory of the last time we experience the same thing. Very frustrating.

I prepaid for my car only to get to the counter and wait for just under an hour. Once assigned a car, I again waited because I was then told my car was double booked. I finally got a car, and it was a great car. However, after turning it in on time I was charged for 3 additional days because they had me down as driving a completely different car. Definitely will Pay More next time and rent from someone else.

Getting from baggage claim to Payless terminal had to stand in long lines to get on the bus. The customer service agent was very nice and friendly. We ended up getting an electric car, but never told us about what charging stations we could use being not familiar with that type of electric car and where the charging stations were a big problem wasted a lot of time during our driving experience, trying to find chargers that would work.

Payless always comes through, the pickup and dropoff process is fast and easy never any issue.. The payless cars are very updated and reliable, the price is always affordable and the deposit is always given back as soon as you drop it off, no extra charges or fees.. I highly recommend them, been using them for the past 3 yrs everytime i travel and not 1 issue..

Only one agent at the airport, extreme long wait time to pick up the car. Took about 1 hour, only 5 group ahead of us. Also our car tire leaked, at drop off time, since there is no agent, we couldn’t pass on that info, so next customer will suffer the same car problem

When we picked up the car in Brunswick, we found out that there was no drop box in New Bern Airport NC accessible after 10 PM. Since we had plan to return the car after that time, that forced us to change our travel plans. I really think that these type of restrictions should clearly be stated out at the time of booking so the client knows and can reorganise ahead of time. Very friendly and helpfull personnel in Brunswick.

I loved the car loved the easy pick up and return of the rental car. The airport made it very self explanatory to get the car back with white letters on the road to direct you back to the rental car return. Made me smile. Took a long time to get the car. First of all, there shuttle only comes to remote rental car center near LAX. You need to take a bus to get there. Then you take there shuttle to get to their office. It took me almost an hour to get the get and be on my way. There were two agents working the desk and they were really helpful but, the whole process was slow. I had to wait a long time.

Total rip off like priceline who mentioned Unlimited kms on the invoice and then refused to refund me. They started showing me terms and policies when the Invoice clearly shows Unlimited kms. Spolied my trip. Lost my money and had to book another place. Waste of time. Terrible experience.

getting a ride from airport took half an hour, initial phone contact number didn't pick up, 17 callers wait for call to be answered. At drop off in early morning the office was closed, fortunetly one of the hotel workers saw me and another woman and told us where to park and drove us to airport.There should have been a sign at door directing to Hotel.

Took forever for the shuttle to arrive. The people getting off of the shuttle told me good luck getting a car. When we got to the rental car facility, the customers that were already there had been waiting so long to get their cars, I called an Uber instead so I didn’t miss my appointment. It was really hard to find the shuttle driver and when we did it took us to a sketchy feeling part of town took us into a warehouse and had us talk with a representative with a very heavy accent over a computer screen. We were not told where to bring the car back - turns out we had to find the sketchy warehouse back and they could not take us back to our hotel even though it was closer than the airport.

There was a minor scratch at the bottom of the front bumper which is not visible unless you are on your knees. As far as I am concerned we didn’t do anything to cause it. It may be already there and we didn’t notice when we took the care at midnight. At any rate my gripe is with how they handled this situation. We bought most expensive coverage possible with them which is twice the rental price itself. But during checkout they stalled us because of this issue even though we told them that we are cutting too close to our departure time and requested them to call the insurance and get it reimbursed because we already bought the coverage. But they insisted on us calling them and we couldn’t because we didn’t have local mobile plan. After lot of back and forth they checked other contracts on the vehicle and probably figured out that the damage was already there and the let us off the hook. It was a happy ending but the whole drama could have been avoided if they had customer service at the forefront of their minds.

Horrible - do not book with NextCar. They denied my car insurance because I was not the primary policyholder. I have full coverage insurance, so there was no logistical reason to deny it. The supplemental insurance cost as much as the rental itself. I was never told at the time of booking that I would be forced to use their insurance if I wasn’t the primary policyholder. I was only told so 24 hours out from my booking. I’m actively trying to get a refund for this.

We had to call from the airport twice to get a pickup to the rental location which was 10 minute ride . Once there we found out that they did not recognize our insurance and I had to pay $260 for insurance . This now made my rental car more expensive than what was at the airports . Drop off went smooth , but we were dropped off at the rental location other than airport drop off for the airport .

Kayak did not inform me who I am getting the car rental with. When I arrived at the airport, I learnt that the "airport car rental pickup" was not at the airport but a shuttle ride away. This should have been communicated to be at the time of making the reservation. Unlike any of the other car rentals, Green Motion asked me for a very high security deposit of €2,400 for a 1 day rental. I had no option but to pay it because the booking for pre-paid. This was not a great experience and given that I had booked through Kayak, I should have been communicated this information at the time of making the reservation.

When I went to pickup my car, I had to wait ~1 hour to speak with someone at the desk. The agent I spoke to at the desk lied to me and said that I cannot use my personal auto insurance and had to use their plan. I call their corporate number later and the confirmed that agent was incorrect and refunded my money spent on the insurance. The car they had reserved for me was stuck behind several cars on the lot and inaccessible. Because of this they tried to give me another vehicle in the same class. The replacement they picked had visible damage/dent to the multiple panels, doors, and bumper. I started documenting all the damage in detail and taking pictures, the agent started getting visibly annoyed. He ended up providing me with a different car in the end. When I came time to drop off the vehicle, the lot nearly full and there was a line extending into the street just to enter the lot. I'm still waiting to deposit to be returned and I anticipating that I will need to call their corporate office again. This was an extremely poor experience through and through. I will never rent from Mexrentacar ever again, and I will never recommend their services to anyone.

Easy process, good car. 2 items - there was some upfront expenses (deposit) that was not clearly covered in the websight when I booked. The second issue was the car was in need of oil service and had warning lights on when I picked it up. This was not big deal, I checked oil level and the car was actually fine.

I probably didn't read the correspondence carefully. My drivers license wasn't sufficient ID and they required a second form of ID. If I hadn't had one on me I would have had to go to another counter to rent. You should make that requirement in BOLD print so I can't skim past it.

Easy to pick up and return were fairly straightforward although the wait time to pick up was too long given there were very few other customers.

Cons:

They gave us a choice of two cars. One smelled terrible on the inside and the other desperately needed cleaning on the interior. There was a bunch of popcorn in the back seat and hand prints on the rear seat windows. We were not impressed. I mean you could see the debris before even opening the doors. Gross. And this is supposed to be a time of extra cleaning given the pandemic. May not use Alamo again.

The car was good and staff was friendly but we were charged more than expected and never received an answer when we questioned this. The amount quoted at the pick-up desk was slightly higher (about $10) than the quote. We planned to return the car with a fulll tank of gas but due to unexpected traffic we weren’t able to stop and were charged $48 (returned it with half of tank, charged for a full tank) and were charged an additional $36 for a recovery fee which we have no idea what this was for or why it was charged.

Horrible experience sorry I went to kayak and Avis Ft. Lauderdale Avis sucks mistakenly rented from location 1/2 mile from airport Shuttle took us to rental center wrong location Avis agent wanted double the original price I asked how to get to correct location he said Uber or taxi and yes cars there were available Got a taxi went right there haha they were closed Avis rep didn’t tell us about they we’re closed it was 6pm Again , sorry I used kayak / Avis Signed UNHAPPY CUSTOMER

My experience with Avis Rental Cars at Fort Lauderdale Airport was disappointing. Despite making a reservation, I waited nearly an hour in line for check-in, which seemed excessive given the low number of customers. The staff aggressively pushed extra insurance coverage and were unpleasant when I declined. To make matters worse, the car I was initially given was parked in an aisle where returned vehicles were lined up, making it impossible to pull out. Despite requesting assistance from the staff and searching for the manager, it took an additional 30 minutes to locate and change my reservation to another car. Throughout all of this, the staff showed little concern and were unapologetic. It's frustrating that even with a reservation, it took nearly 1 hour and 30 minutes to leave the airport with my rental. This experience falls far short of expectations, and I won't be choosing Avis for future rentals.

The one car I chose that was in the lot I was supposed to select from had a spare tire on, thankfully one of the attendants pointed that out so I had to take the only car left which was a 2 door Chevy Camaro- which wouldn’t have been my first choice. Also, the price of $79 was then I flared up to over $250 at the end of it all. Disappointing.

My reservation was canceled because it was scheduled for 8am and I did arrive until 5pm. Apparently, there is a 4 hour time limit to the reservation. I wish that policy had been more explicit. I ended having to take a Lyft for a 2 hour ride.

Easy check in and check out process. They will ask you if you want to upgrade your vehicle, SunPass for tolls, extra insurance, ect. We ended up upgrading to a bigger vehicle for $45 more for the week. And declined additional add ons. It was a good check in and check out process and will likely rent from them again. It is an additional $12/day for an additional driver.

Went in thinking I was renting a car for $150ish for 2 Days and it was over $300 plus a 300 deposit you get back but still over $600 was charged to my car when I was expecting a lot less. Now it’s going to take days to get the deposit back.

If you do not arrive within 1-2 hours of your reservation time, they give your car away and don't have backups for you! EVERYONE in that arrived on my shuttle were in the same boat; they didn't have any of our vehicles; they were simply telling everyone that their reservation is cancelled, we'll receive our money back (eventually), and we just need to go elsewhere to find a car last minute, at night. IT WAS A DISASTER! Thank God one of the guys working there took pity on my group since I had my 80 year old parents with me, and managed to find another vehicle for us. It was smaller than what we rented, but at least it was a vehicle. I'm thankful to the employee who bent over backwards to find us a vehicle, but York's policy of re-renting everyone's cars if they are not there within 1-2 hours is CRAZY! Everyone else got screwed. It was an awful experience. Oh, it it took HOURS for all of that to get settled. 0/5 stars.

The only thing we liked about the car rental was the car. The service was horrible! They charge you 20 euros extra for cleaning the car even though the car you received was not washed. The car was a diesel, which is supposed to have the addativ adblue which would last you 20000kms. We had to add that which cost me another 20 euros which they would not refund. They charged 1300euros deposit which I hope they have refunded. I personally feel that kayak should remove them from your offerings. Also I hope you can refund me the additional charges that were not part of the deal!

They kept trying to charge my card at check in for things I did not know about, I refused their insurance multiple times and they kept trying to charge me for it, they told me the deposit was $102 but instead it was $1200 which i did not see until i got the receipt so I was not properly informed about what i was paying. I am still not sure what I paid because they have not provided a proper receipt and kept trying to charge me for random things.

They tried to triple the price when picking up the car. Though advertised as free unlimited miles they were going to charge for mileage. They insisted we use their insurance, which would add more to the original price. From $76 for two days to $120 per day. When ask to cancel they said ok, but never cancelled the reservation. Luckily I was still able to cancel via kayak app.

The car was dirty when we picked it up. It only had a single floor mat il and it was in the back. It was missing a hubcap and had body damage to the right rear. The final price was much higher than was quoted. The listing said that the car was "in terminal" but it was not it required a shuttle ride. Overall experience was poor. I would rather have a bus pass than rent from these people again.

This was legitimately the worst experience I have ever had renting a car in my entire life, and I have rented easily 100 cars. The staff was highly unprofessional, coughing, and snorting in my face the entire time, one of the employees lit a joint in the office while I was trying to understand what the first employee was wanting me to do. This was the worst part. They made me, call my insurance and send multiple forms of paperwork via email at 5 o’clock on a weekday to them stating that I had collision coverage that was not commercial. Even though my insurance agent got on the phone with them stating that I had private rental car collision coverage, this would not suffice. They were trying to scam me into purchasing their collision coverage that they offer. They clearly work on commission. It was an absolute nightmare so much so that I was texting the chat on Expedia to get my reservation that was nonrefundable, canceled. I ended up working with Expedia and getting the reservation canceled , leaving in an absolute sweaty mess after almost 2 hours standing there, trying to get an understanding of what they were demanding of me that has never happened before at any other car rental agency in my life. I would run as fast as you can from this company, it was priceless car rental, also known as 24 seven rent a car. Literally, run.

I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Crumbs on floor and seats and luggage compartment. Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel. The rest was okay. Car drove fine and didn't give any problems.

It wasnt the car that we had originally rented. It was nice but was not big enough for our party. We were told we would loose our money already paid at 12 at night and that this was the only option. They couldnt speak very good english and a $200 insurance was still placed on my card after I told them not to.

it is very deceiving, first of all you already signed agreement where your money is not refundable, while they do not provide enough information for the customer to make inform decision; when you reach to the car rental location to pick up the car that is day and night history, in conclusion it is very deceitful. never again, I will go directly to the car rental location.

Fraud company please check their complaints online before referring them we never received the rental as they were forcing us to buy insurance and florida easy pass we told them we have insurance and our credit card also protects us and this is not first time we renting they were very rude and told us to leave so we had to catch cab in middle of night and messed up our vacation monetarily and fun wise

Staff did not understand the english language, desk was not at the airline terminal as advertised, could not get anyone to pick us up at the terminal, had to make a phone call to get someone to pick us up at the terminal, coverage I paid for was not of any value so I had to buy additional coverage, did not get a car I asked for, took so long to finally get my car I was 3 hours late arriving at my destination.

Super friendly, helpful and efficient staff. No unnecessary hassle. The main drawback is that the office is a few kilometers away from the airport, but they make up for that by a operating a free high-frequency shuttle between terminal 3 and the office.

The vehicle had mechanical issues. We could not drive the car and they are refusing a refund. They had to pick up the vehicle because we could not drive it. We are currently trying to get a refund with great difficulty and they are trying not to provide it.

Collection at airport was ok but we had to wait for the collection person as they had misunderstood our arrival time. We also had quite an old Audi A3 which was in good condition but had quite an old CD player and radio setup and no mod cons. Comfy though and staff were helpful and efficient.

We supposedly were offered an upgraded vehicle which was an automatic transmission. The car had damage all along the passenger side. USB outlets do not work with US USB cords. Bluetooth did not connect. No alternative cars were offered so we were stuck with the car that was given to us. I suggest choosing a company other than Ecovia through RentalCars.com

Our flight was slightly delayed. I had mentioned I'd be at the terminal shuttle service at 9pm, but obviously wasn't there for that. I walked over to the shuttle area at 9:15pm, and not once did the shuttle return. I called Ecovia incessantly and there was no pick up, despite their closing time stating 10pm. I then ran cartrawler (the agency) and they were rude and unhelpful. After explicitly stating that i'd called Ecovia myself, they attempted to ring. As they didn't pick up (as expected), the woman hung up on me. When I called back, she said it was too bad as I did not make the 9pm reservation. During these calls, I even caught a cab to Ecovia, but they had closed early (cost me me £35 return). I then forfeited the booking and went to Eurocar who were more than helpful - no issues with them. Both cartrawler and Ecovia should be removed from your offerings.
