What are the pros of staying at Prince II Hotel?
The staff were friendly and the AC worked well. Bed sheets seemed clean. Affordable and great location. I stayed here for 7 nights while adjusting to the 14 hour time difference from the USA. The bed was quite comfortable and I slept well. Place is close to numerous restaurants and I often had an egg salad sandwich on multigrain bread for breakfast at the coffee shop just across the street. Staff was very nice and carried my heavy duffle bag up to my room. Staff ordered my lunch for me on arrival and brought it up to my room as I was very tired from over 30 hours of travel time. They arranged airport pickup and my transport to Cat Ba Island and also a taxi for a medical appointment. I plan to return there prior to my flight to Phu Quoc. Lovely room that was very clean and fresh (no musty or damp smell and I have a very sensitive nose). Staff were amazing, welcoming, helpful and kind. They allowed us to check in early which was very much appreciated because we were very tired after our early morning flight. Airport pick up was seamless. Location is close to everything in the old quarter. Great location, very comfortable bed and really friendly staff. Can help with any tour organisation or buses. Great location right off a hidden street by the main roads. Very close to major avenues, yet because it’s tucked away, your room is much quieter and peaceful than other hotels in the area. Mattress itself was comfortable. The room was excellent. Large spotlessly clean with good AC . Kevin was an excellent host balancing professionalism and hospitality with a charming and very well informed approach . Linda was excellent to alongside all the staff I. Met . Pool was great and the hostel is a few minutes walk away from the center . Great stay. The reception lady Nguyen was very welcoming and kind. She also helped plan our trip in the North of Vietnam, and even booked the whole itinerary for us, which is a huge help because we did not have a detailed plan. The room is very beautiful and clean. And the location is in the very heart of the old quarter. The location is fantastic. This is the 2nd time we booked the Prince II hotel. It’s worth the price. You’re in the heart of the old district. You’re not on top of the more busy intersections which gives a relief from the commotion. But you can’t escape the noise completely Friday through Sunday when the district becomes walking only. Ask for a room in the back and you won’t hear anything (i.e 601). The staff is amazing. We booked a tour with them after being disappointed with TheSinhTour and it was such a better experience. They’ve been very reliable. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights, and I would recommend it. The location of the hotel makes it easy to walk to many restaurants and bars. Yet, it is far away enough that we didnt hear any noise while we were sleeping. I wouldnt recommend this place for those who need an elevator, because they only have stairs and we were on the 4th floor. But the staff was so nice and helped us with everything we needed. We booked a Halong Bay trip through them as well and the trip was beautiful and a good value for money. Love the location of the hotel, the service was great. The cleaning Ladies asked me if I wanted my room cleaned, which I kindly declined since I had just arrived. They are always ready to work. The Host was fast at responding my messages and answer my questions as soon as possible. She is really kind, and caring. If I ever come back again to Vietnam I won't hesitate to rebook here. Very modern and clean hotel room. Location was excellent and so central. Staff were so friendly and helped us arrange a trip to Cat Ba after our stay in Hanoi. Highly recommend. Located in the heart of bustling Old Quarter but quiet, spacious room with comfy bed, clean linen bedding, lots of natural light. Staff went beyond to help you check in early and even check out late. The lady at the hotel helped us a lot. She arranged all the Iconic sightseeings around Hanoi. Made things a lot easier for us. The hotel is a great value for its price and given its at a wonderful location in Old Quarter. My very best wishes to her and her lovely little kid. Nice location, great staff, and quite, even though it's in the old quarter of Hanoi. Friendly staff. Location very central. Room size okay. Bed comfortable. AC worked well. Internet good. Perfect quality price, location of 10 to a very friendly staff. Great location, nice comfy rooms. This hotel is excellent. The service and staff were great, the hotel is beautiful. Our room was very nice and when informed about an issue that was not their fault the staff did everything to make it right. the staff at the front desk are so warm and friendly and made the trip worthwhile. Would highly recommend staying here in the future. Very central location Nice host. Good room, but slightly odd layout. Near the old quarter, cheap price , friendly staff, clean, with wifi. Room had all the amenities I require at an excellent price: big, comfortable bed, two soft chairs and coffee table, desk and work chair, tea kettle, lots of towels, hot water, good shower, efficient toilet, lots of windows, good curtains, lots of lighting, electric outlets, reading light. Room was clean and very quiet. Great value for money in a perfect location. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
What are the cons of staying at Prince II Hotel?
The room was very outdated/poor workmanship e.g. switches hanging off walls. There was rust and grime around the batch tub/shower. No elevator and many flights of stairs for bags to be carried up. The other guests usually talked very loudly when walking up or down the stairs, even at midnight or 6 am. Only a minor inconvenience - Very low water pressure in the shower - it was more like a mist, and completely stops if you hold the shower at head height. We were told however that it varies at different times of the day. Weak internet wifi signal Noise from the street at night, especially weekend. Our room looked nothing like the photos. It was really dark, with a small window looking into a back alley. The shower was very poor and the bathroom, in general, needed a refresh. Lack of elevator and having to climb 7 flights of stairs if your room is on the “sixth” floor, since they don’t count the ground floor. Those stairs are spiral and on the tighter end of things. A/C didn’t work upon arrival. WiFi didn’t work upon arrival. (Gentlemen had to come up to our floor to reset the WiFi router for these to work again). Bed linens and pillow cases were dirty, but it was past midnight and only one gentleman was working so we worked around the issue for a night. Ran out of hot water after 5-10 minutes, after midnight. Details of shower were not well kept and needed deep cleaning. Did not feel comfortable showing in there. no elevator, if I knew they dont have elevator i wouldn't book here. No lift. Water in the bathroom was too much running low. Lack of elevator. Can be challenging to older people. The building is quite old, the soundproof is NOT too good, although it looks modern in the photos. If you are a sensitive person for noise, considering other place. Also, hotel supplies are not enough for showing often people, they provided around 50 ml for shampoo and shower gel. We had a very bad sleep there, the aircon was noisy and the beds were not very comfy. The bedroom was not very spacious and looked older than in the pictures Note that there is no elevator and we were on the 5th floor. A/c was not good. No elevator! The only cons were there’s no elevator. So you need to carry your luggage going up to your room. And the room given to us looked like it was just cleaned hastily. :( But will definitely stay here again. :) There's nothing, just great service! There was no water in the room. The young boy (receptionist) looked so agitated when assisting me to check out. No issues. Maybe my fault. I did not realise there was no lift. Stairs are a bit hard for me. This hotel is best for younger people. Price is cheap as there is a lot of stairs to climb if you are on 6th floor. We stayed on the 6th floor and there were no stairs… English barrier for the staff assigned in night shift at the beginning; room assigned to us was too high ? (6th flr).
