Cons:No direct terminal access to / from rental car Office. Driver stopped for a late passenger with 2 infant children in a stroller. Husband was still Unloading vehicle when we were at the gate Leaving. I had 1.5 hrs before my flight departed and I Missed my flight. La Guardia is a nightmare !

Cons:Arrived to pick the vehicle up and was told there were NO VEHICLES available!!!! What is the point of a reservation? The agent said they expected some vehicles to be available within the hour. While that could work in some instances, in mine, it created issues with timed plans for my afternoon. While a vehicle was provided before the "hour", the delay did cause me to miss one event entirely. The reservation was made late for the next day, but in the Metro NY area Payless certainly had other cars available at LaGuardia, Newark or other local sites they should have transferred into JFK for the SEVERAL reserved clients they had waiting all over the rental office!!! Not a nice way to begin a special, planned day of adventure.

Cons:arrived for our noon pickup time, waited in line for over 30 min before my girlfriend went outside and saw they had no cars. I asked if that was the reason that they had everyone waiting around with no explanation given. They confirmed that they had no vehicles. There were more than 10 of us in line with reservations. They clearly don't know what the word reservations mean. Staff was not helpful and at times rude. When we finally did get a cars (more than an hr waiting in line) the car was not in good shape. It clearly needed new wheel bearings and possibly new brakes. I am now in a dispute with them over a $200 charge added to my credit card after I dropped off the vehicle that no one can explain. Made multiple phone calls but the national office "can't see billing" and was of no help and told me I had to call the location directly. Waste of time since they wont answer the direct number and the call keeps getting kicked to the call center. I will never use this company again. Ever. And will seriously think twice about booking through Kayak when I see a "good deal".
Cons:I just received a message from the location manager saying that they don't have the car I returned four days ago. She left a phone number for me to call but no one picks up and there is no message service. The Payless 800 agent said they can't help me. Also, the car's USB wouldn't allow us to connect to a mobile device for navigation, music, etc.
Pros:The Ford Escape was a great car and used very little gas over the four days.
Cons:It took more than a hour to get just from the doors outside baggage claim to the rental office desk. The Car agencies must to more to correct this at lga. At Newark we pulled into the Budget Payless lot and it took forever for someone to try to check us in. Then he said it was not showing up in the system so we had to go inside to the desk. The Payless desk was closed and the budget line was long with new renters. When we finally got someone’s attention she said “you’re good” and dropped our agreement in the garbage. So we lost our reservation in the new restaurant over nothing.

Pros:Our third car was in good shape. All three where clear.
Cons:First car had a tire deflate 5 miles down the road on the Long Island Expressway. Had to pay out of pocket to get a tow because you can't change tires on the expressway, and the only authorized tow company is not one of their contractors. No manager there to reimburse the money when we got back Friday at 10:30am) Second car they tried to give us had bald tires, and a chunk taken out of one of them (we learned to check thoroughly) When we returned the car three days later the manager had just left again (Monday at 4:00PM) Still waiting on their response to my email. It has been a week
Cons:The office at LGA is very poorly run. It's a wonder this company is still in business given how they operate. Dont expect a quick or pleasant experience when picking up your car here.
