Cons. Rooms are old and dirty. Beds wiggle. Door had to be SLAMMED so it would shut and lock I don't know what was all over the dust ruffle and probably don't want to guess... shower curtain had dirty, greasy hand prints all over it. Hotel got loud around 11 which technically wasn't hotels fault but I think it shows the type of guests that stay there.
Pros. The pillows are extremely comfortable and the staff are very pleasant. Very reasonable pet deposit fee as well and they have an excellent breakfast.
Cons. This is our third time staying at the hotel and it was our worst stay. The bed was so hard I couldn't get comfortable. There was a dirty washrag left in the room from the previous guest. The tv remote wasn't even to our tv and the water wouldn't get warm. It was either scalding hot or completely cold you couldn't find an in between.
Pros. Worst hotel ever! Do not stay at the White Columns! First impressions at the front desk are completely misleading. Room was nasty. Black mold was growing in the grout in the bathtub. Sink look liked it had not been properly cleaned. The floors had sticky spots and unknown substances on them. I had to make my children werar socks when they walked on the floor. The lamp shade had been burned by the lightbulb (stem on the lamp was broken) so the room had a smoky/musty smell to it. Shady people walking around the hotel at all hours of the night. When I brought up the issues to the hotel staff the next morning, they offered nmothing but excuses for the poor quality.
