Best bang for the buck!
Pros. I like this hotel very much. Have stayed before and it´s very comfortable and clean. The gym has good equipment and the restaurant has good and economic food.
Cons. There are no markets or stores close enough to go walking, specially in the night when the zone is dark outside.

Pros. We really loved the pool - it was beautiful with palm trees, incredibly relaxing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Only a few spoke good English - but if you speak a little Spanish, it's not too bad.

All the fixtures in the hotel are quite old - there's mold growing in the Moen bath faucet, the bathtub was very worn out from years of use, the floor is the fake hardwood floors that are sticky because of the heat and humidity (I had to wear my own flip flops inside - hardly the most comfortable thing when walking around), popcorn ceiling. Perhaps this hotel was 5 stars back in its hey day, but it certainly needs replacing. Of course I knew I wasn't going to get 5 star resort for what I paid, but the rating is very, very misleading.
