FAQs - booking Connecticut flights

  • Are there services for those with limited mobility at the airports in Miami and Connecticut?

Yes, each of the airports offers accessible facilities, wheelchair services free of charge, and assistance with boarding, deplaning, and navigating the airport. If you need to take advantage of these services, you can contact your airline in advance.

  • What are some common layover destinations on the route from Miami, Florida, to Connecticut?

The layovers you have on your trip from Miami to Connecticut will largely depend on your destination within Connecticut and the airline you are flying with. Those flying to Bradley International Airport (BDL) can fly on board American Airlines, and you will have one layover either in Charlotte (CLT), Washington, D.C. (DCA), or Philadelphia (PHL). Those flying to New Haven (HVN) will likely be flying directly from Miami to LaGuardia Airport (LGA) in New York City and then taking a bus to New Haven.

  • Are there any alternate airports I can use to get to another destination in Connecticut?

Those going to Connecticut can also take advantage of nearby airports. For example, you can fly to Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport (PVD) in Providence, Rhode Island, just a short drive away from Connecticut’s eastern border. You can also fly to Worcester Regional Airport (ORH) in Worcester, Massachusetts, just a short drive to the northeast.

  • How can I make my flight from Miami to Connecticut more sustainable?

If you want to travel as sustainably as possible, consider booking flights with one layover, as this is the fewest amount of layovers you can have on this journey. Also, consider flying with American Airlines, one of the most sustainable airlines flying between these two destinations. Finally, book an economy-class seat and pack as light as you can.

  • How does KAYAK find such low prices on flights from Miami to Connecticut?

KAYAK is a travel search engine. That means we look across the web to find the best prices we can find for our users. With over 2 billion flight queries processed yearly, we are able to display a variety of prices and options on flights from Miami to Connecticut.

  • How does KAYAK's flight Price Forecast tool help me choose the right time to buy my flight ticket from Miami to Connecticut?

  • What is the Hacker Fare option on flights from Miami to Connecticut?

Hacker Fares allow you to combine one-way tickets in order to save you money over a traditional round-trip ticket. You could then fly to Connecticut with an airline and back to Miami with another airline.

  • What is KAYAK's "flexible dates" feature and why should I care when looking for a flight from Miami to Connecticut?

Sometimes travel dates aren't set in stone. If your preferred travel dates have some wiggle room, flexible dates will show you all the options when flying to Connecticut from Miami up to 3 days before/after your preferred dates. You can then pick the flights that suit you best.

Captain and Crew were excellent. The Boeing 737-800 was showing its age. In flight entertainment system was sluggish and my Business Class seat on the outbound flight had some mechanical issues. Only real problem was the location of the Gate in Panama PTY. It was a 40 minute hike from Security to the Gate. There should have been some sort of warning about the distance.

landed in panama it was in terminal one. We had to take a bus to terminal two for customs. Then back to terminal one. It was very frustrating. Then, on the way back from panama it was the same situation. We had to go back and forth between terminals to check in and drop our bags and then to board. When we were leaving, we had to wait in line for the boarding area and go through another gate security process. They told the bottles of water and coffee were bought while in line in the airport after we passed the main security. Ridiculous (and expensive). A much better communication system is needed.

This was my first time flying Copa but I'll definitely be back! Great service, professional agents, and delicious food for a fair price. Thanks for a great trip!

Horrible experience from start to end. Copa costumer service is non existent. They treat you bad. Everybody tells you different information. We didn’t received our luggage in the 1 day stop we did even we they said if was not going to be a problem. They didn’t respect the seats that we had and spread our family leaving in between of two big people who didn’t leave any space for me and crush me from side to side. I’ll never recommend Copa to anybody.

No cumpli mencionado trayecto por reasignacion de Copa Pero extraviaron mis maletas por su culpa

I was fortunate enough to have an entire row to myself and that was the highlight. Unfortunately, the flight was really turbulent which had no impact on how effective the crew was. However, I am disabled and should have boarded the flight first, but that wasn't the case. They also decided to take my bag at the gate because I had one too many and upon my picking it up at JFK it along with my rollator had been damaged. I am a vegan so the didn't have a proper meal for me and I was unable to view the entertainment because I didn't receive a set of headphones and if I needed to supply my own I wasn't made aware of that either. The crew was great, but overall everything was pretty lackluster.

LOCKED MY BAG WITHOUT CONSENT. Had to have my zippers cut upon arrival in Costa Rica.

Pros: "The seats in economy were confortable. The best thing was Copa gave us seats in the second line and my family traveled together."
Cons: "Coffe service could better the experience"
Cons: "Sure. I had booked a two week vacation in Brazil. All hotels, car rental and guides booked. Copa changed my fligjt at the last minute and out of the 14 days vacatipn I had in Brazil, they would have me spend 6 days in Panama City!!! Lost of small fortune with hotels, car rentals amd had to buy another ticket with Latam. They are a scam!!"
Cons: "Due the COVID-19 El Salvador closed its boarders, leaving me unable to fly. I have sent two emails, called and spoke to a customer service representative who treated me unprofessionally and rude. After that I have been calling numerous times with a wait of over 25 minutes each time and I still have to answer from you as a company. I am extremely disappointed and want an answer soon."

That flight was smooth, and staff we courteous. it was a full flight so very tight. The boarding through security was not properly controlled. it was rushed and the scanning process for our bags, etc. was pilling up at the other end with no time to empty our belonging my personal items almost toppled over on the floor if i hadn't caught it rapidly. Was it just that time, or always like this - cant say. other than that all else was fine.

Boarding was friendly and quick. While the plane model was older with no live tv, the entertainment was full of movies and tv shows. All food was available. Pilots were very communicative with status of the flight. Flight landed on time.

It was terrible because the flight was delayed for 3 hours.

Crowded flight, but upbeat and kind crew. Pilot greeted us at door, flight attendant thanked a number of “special” passengers for their business, another addressed an eight-year old boy as “young man.” United obviously trying to up their game, but though all of that is nice and notable, flying still feels like moving along a human assembly line, being herded into one small space after another (boarding areas with too few seats, planes with limited personal space, shuttles (IAD) packed too full.

Did not like the seat spacing. The seat was very narrow and tight.

United domestic flight was better than international flight. There was no switch to control Ac In international united flight. Food was also average, Air canada food was much better than united.

Seat didn't recline all the way back. Very uncomfortable flight for 8 hours. The turbulence eliminated snack and food stops

Tired of being nickel and dimed for every little thing, especially carry-on luggage.

Nothing exceptional but all good. Business class seats are like the domestic Mint class on Jet Blue. Comfortable but not exceptional. Food is good but not superb. Flight attendants were better than US carriers but that is to be expected. However, not the caliber of Asian or Middle Eastern airlines. Very Lufthansa like but Lufthansa has slightly better seats, even though they are hardly best in class

The flight was clean and on time, the crew were all very nice and we got the seats we booked. Plenty of food and beverages. The seats are too close so it’s very difficult to try and sleep comfortably.

They gave my seat away although it was a connecting flight with them and the flight was a bit delayed.

Horrible people at the gate, they force me to check in my carry on, even thought no one behind me has to do it. I had to get out of the airport in NY to get my bag and go thru security again on my way to Honk Kong. The worst part is the employee threatened me with loosing the flights if don’t comply.

Horrible. Flight was delayed and very bumpy. I was super unhappy

The agents at the gate were rude. The stwards were pleasant. The seats were comfortable. The tray table had crumbs on it. A passenger talked constantlt and very loudly for the entire flight annoying many passengers. The stewards did not ask her to speak in a lower voice but my travel partner did.

Literally the worst experience ever and I had my service dog with me. Flight was supposed to leave at 1:51 PM but the plane arrived late. They boarded us around 3 PM and kept us on the plane for an hour saying that due to weather conditions in Miami, we could not takeoff yet. After waiting for an hour, they deplaned. And then they will not give us our bags back that we could just leave and schedule for another flight. Every hour they kept updating saying we have to wait another hour without any explanation as to what was going on. Eventually, I went to customer service to change my ticket, but by the time I made it to the front of the line, they started boarding my flight again. And then when we got onto the flight, they said there were two flight attendants That were past their shift. They kept us on the plane for about another 40 minutes until they told us they had no other flight attendance and had to deplane again. Then I gave us hotel vouchers and told us we would be on a flight at 6 AM the next day. At this point it is about 9 PM. I get to the hotel with my dog, who hasn’t been able to go potty for about eight hours. When I arrived at the hotel, I got a text alert saying my flight has been canceled at 6 AM and they moved past to 5 AM, however the hotel shuttle doesn’t leave early enough to make it to the airport for 5 AM flight. So me and some other passengers got a cab after about three hours of sleep to get back to the airport. This was the worst experience ever.

One of the worst flights I have ever taken Delayed over an hour without communication from the crew; very scary Entertainment not working Crew NASTY cabin cold

May never fly American again Delay in take off WITHOUT EXPLANATION Cabin freezing Crew NASTY entertainment did not work entire flight

Plane felt so crowded and tightly packed. The chair itself was not comfortable.

Flight was delayed due to crew not being there, besides that it was a normal flight.

We were re routed due to a flight cancellation. We did not fly out of Miami. We originally booked first class and were moved to coach without being compensated.

Flight kept delayed from morning to late afternoon so I had to make other arrangements

The crew was not great or professional. It seemed like they didn't really want to be there. A true lack of effort for accommodating customers.

I paid for WiFi, but it (WiFi) was very very slow, will never take again! Impossible open Utube 😤😤😤

My wife and I are both handicapped and at boarding they upgraded us to a seat closer to the front rather than all the way towards the back. Much appreciated.

Spirit canceled the flight in March and never notified me!

Seats suck, not enough room, overcrowded planes, hectic situation all together.

I do not like the customer service, I had an emergency and needed to cancel a pet reservation right after I had booked it and they would not do anything but issue a credit. I haven't flown in years as I have 7 kids and don't have spare time. I want my $125 back on my card please

I paid just under 200 for flight and luggage, then paid 200 to change the flight, then paid 100 for a carry on. Then the cancelled the flight. Of the 500 I spent they refunded 250. I bought a delta flight for 270 never flew with spirit, but spirit kept 250, not even refunding the 100 for the carry on though they cancelled the flight (for weather on a day with only a slight rain ).

Flight attendants heavily pushed their affinity credit card. Very annoying

On time and fast. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Frontier is a crappy airline nothing about it is honest

Crew members are very rude and not cooperate with passengers.

30 minute delay due to boarding and settling of a family.

I am HIGHLY unhappy with the amount of money I spent on the flight. Paid in advance only to find the flight at a discount price a week or so before the flight. I will not fly frontier again and have bad mouthed your business since to anyone I have spoken with about flying (which has been many a people). Crew was mediocre and instead of moving me to a spot where I could gain some leg room they sat their flight attendant there. Won’t be flying frontier in the future.

Well, I didn’t have food! So NA wasn’t an option. I’ll be back!

First time flying with Frontier . From buying tickets ,getting boarding pass and boarding plane was super easy. Definitely would fly again with Frontier .

Our flight was on time and unremarkable which I'm grateful for, as it is not the norm traveling these days. Frontier is a low-cost carrier and it really shows when compared to other "normal" carriers. They don't even give you water during the flight. The coach seats are decent, however it was not as clean as it should be. We had crumbs all over the floor by our seats.

They lost my baggage on my connection flight, it’s been 24 hours since I put my claim in and still no update on my bags.

they charge too much when you arrive in the air port

The flight was canceled, then delayed twice, we were moved gates twice. Short staff at the counter and check in. We waited for our flight 9 hours. Will never use Frontier ever again, or Spirit.
