Pros. Great location - a stones throw from Grand Place
Cons. Hotel staff has no idea what is going on. They gave me a room which was being occupied by someone else. What a mess. Poor attitude. Very unprofessional
Pros. Location is great as it's right on Grand Place which is where a lot of good food, and other interesting things are nearby. The prices are awesome for the location. The staff is amazing, and super helpful. I've stayed here multiple years in a row, and I'd do so again.
Cons. Lack of outlets in the rooms. Some rooms can be over a busy (and noisy) pedestrian street. Rooms can be quirky, as the building is a number of other buildings combined, there's stairs all over the place a 3rd floor bedroom may involve 7 different staircases (some are only a few steps up / down).
Pros. The hotel is right in the center of town, near the city hall and within comfortable walking distance from all the important places, right outside you will find numerous restaurants and shops. This place is the right place if you are looking to be close to everything, in a nice place but don't want to spend a crazy amount of money in a hotel! Recommended
Cons. Sometimes there was an unpleasant smell coming out of the bathroom at night.
Pros. Nice location near the main square, food, drinks, and the central train station. Unique, eccentric decor. Simple, but good breakfast. Good croissants.
Pros. I was on a little Euro Trip and this was one of the most interesting/unique hotels I have ever stayed in in my life. They chose a theme and really ran with it. The decor was quite unique, a bit over the top, but I think thats what made this hotel so special. The location is also perfect! It was a one minute walk to the city center and very close to public transportation. I would highly recommend this place to someone who is looking for an experience, this is not a Hyatt by any means but the art work and decor will keep you entertained.
Cons. The bathroom could use a little updating. It was clean, but seemed outdated. Large suitcases not recommended, the hallways wind, are narrow, and have stairs in random places. Wifi didn't work great, not a hotel that you are going to be getting any business done in.
Pros. Perfect location, right in the middle of everything. Very friendly staff. Charming, eccentric decor. Short walk to the train station. Restaurants and pubs are right outside, Grand Place a one-minute walk away.
Cons. This is not a business traveler's hotel. Phone didn't work. You walk through the narrow hallways and climb the narrow stairs and take all the twists and turns to get to your very primitive room...only to find the wifi password is not written down anywhere, and you can't call reception from the room phone. It's cute and charming for a romantic weekend, but if you have a suitcase, not just a carry-on, you'll have a hell of a time trying to negotiate the hallways and stairways. For the price, you can get much more in the way of amenities at many other hotels in central Brussels.
